Dr. Kaitlin Heisel remembers growing up on Stover Street in Fort Collins. She won’t have to go far to rekindle those memories.
Heisel, a general surgeon and trauma surgeon, recently joined Surgical Specialists of the Rockies, a Colorado Health Medical Group clinic.
“I still have a lot of family living in the area,” Heisel said. “It feels really good to be back in the area serving the community that I love so much.”
Surgical Specialists of the Rockies is a general and trauma surgery group with locations in Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley. The clinic employs nine experienced surgeons who provide trauma surgery coverage to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. The same surgeons also provide general surgical services to residents throughout the region.
Dr. Heisel received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder, her medical degree at Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
In addition to her general surgical skills, Dr. Heisel has special interests in advanced laparoscopic procedures and cutting-edge surgical procedures for the treatment of hernias, gastroesophageal reflux disease and gallbladder conditions.
